Vanessa Pacson – 20th Anniversary!

Van Kam Freightways Ltd. is excited to celebrate the 20th work anniversary of Vanessa Pacson! As a team member of the pricing department at our head office in Surrey, BC, Vanessa’s primary duties are creating quotes and shipping estimates and responding to pricing inquiries.

It’s All About Transparency

Customer service is essential to Vanessa’s role. Particularly, she ensures she is as transparent as possible, breaking down every item for her customers to understand what they’re paying for. “Trust is essential to my customers; that is why I ensure transparency in my interactions with them, especially when responding to pricing inquiries,” says Vanessa.

Who Rocks Da Party?!

Vanessa says she loves working at Van Kam, “Working at Van Kam for the past 20 years has been an amazing experience. There’s great work culture, reliable colleagues, and open communication among staff, supervisors, and management. Also, I can’t forget to mention the fun Christmas parties with great door prizes!” She’s not wrong – we sure know how to throw a party!

K-Dramas and Chill

In her spare time, Vanessa enjoys watching Korean Dramas. “Korean Dramas take the cake; the fantastic storylines, superb acting, beautiful cinematography, and unique soundtracks… take your pick!” says Vanessa. “I like to chill at home and watch other good Netflix shows too, but yeah, K-Dramas have my heart.”

A Culinary Traveler!

Vanessa loves to travel around the world and try out the local cuisines of the places she visits. “Over the years, I have been able to combine my love for travel and food. I have had the opportunity to explore Asia and Europe and their local cuisines,” says Vanessa. “My dream destination is South Korea (in particular Seoul and Jeju Island). After watching so many K-dramas and listening to K-Pop like BTS and BlackPink, I want to know more about Korean culture, food and traditions.”
