Van Kam Freightways Sponsors U10 BC All-Star Junior NLL Warriors

Van Kam is proud to announce our BC All-Star Junior NLL Warriors Novice A team sponsorship. The team comprises of young lacrosse players selected by other kids from all over Vancouver and is dedicated to representing the Vancouver Junior (Jr) NLL Warriors in elite competitions.

“Van Kam believes in supporting youth development in our communities and sponsoring the U10 Jr NLL Warriors is a perfect way to do that,” says Lenore Henry, Van Kam’s Co-Director of Charities & Donations. “We are always excited at the opportunity to make a positive impact in the communities where we operate; it’s a commitment to our “CARE” core value,” she adds.

Importance of Youth Sports

Van Kam Freightways believes in the importance of supporting youth sports and the positive impact it can have on young people’s physical and mental development.

“Youth sports promote physical fitness and teach important life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. These skills are essential for the growth and development of young people in the community, and the children get to have fun at the same time,” explains Lenore. “By sponsoring the Vancouver Jr Warriors, we are promoting the development of these young athletes and helping to build a stronger and more vibrant community for everyone,” she concludes.

Viva Las Vegas!

The team recently travelled to Las Vegas to play in the Vegas Box Invitational Tournament, where they had an impressive outing in the novice category. They won the championship with an undefeated record of 5 – 0. In the final game, the team secured the victory and the championship title with a final score of 5-3. “We couldn’t be prouder of their performance at the tournament,” says Lenore happily.
