New Van Kam COO and CEO

3 Generations

Van Kam Freightways Ltd. is proud to announce the promotions of Robert Henry III as our new COO and Casey Henry as our new CEO.

This important milestone officially marks the third generation of ownership & operation of the Henry family at Van Kam since its inception in 1947. Heading into our 75th anniversary year in 2022, these changes support Van Kam’s future corporate plans and continued tradition of high quality service and customer satisfaction.

Built on Passion

In his recent address to all Van Kam employees, Casey Henry expressed his and his cousin Robert’s excitement for their new roles. “Entering our new roles, Robert and I would like to start by saying thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout our continuous growth at Van Kam. Over the years, we have assumed many different positions within this company. We have learned to appreciate the work you all do.”

The Henry family has always had a passion for what they do, and that passion has funnelled its way throughout all departments of the company for the past 74 years. “What sets us apart from our competition is the people we work with and your passion for what we do and what we stand for. As we continue to grow the Van Kam brand, we plan on working with all of you to ensure our company is continuously improving by helping every employee feel empowered to voice their thoughts on what we can do to improve Van Kam as a team,” said Casey.

Family Values

Van Kam is one of the only family-owned and operated LTL freight carriers in Western Canada. As with the previous two generations of family ownership, the third generation also holds this unique advantage dear to their hearts. Casey pointed out, “We are very proud and very fortunate to continue carrying the torch into our 75th year as a third-generation family-operated organization. We look forward to working with all of you in the future.”
