Showing Up for Our Communities in Q1 2026

March 30, 2026

The first quarter of 2026 kept us busy in the best way. Between our day-to-day operations and everything happening off the road, our teams found time to show up for the people and causes that matter to us. Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to.

Supporting Women in Our Communities

We were a Silver Sponsor of the 10th Annual Herstory Fundraising Gala in support of the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre. The DEWC provides meals, shelter, advocacy, and programs for women in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, and we were honoured to stand behind their work.

On International Women’s Day, we supported Covenant House Vancouver in their efforts to keep young women and girls in our communities safe. Celebrating women means protecting them too.

Supporting Youth

For Pink Shirt Day in February, our team wore pink across our terminals as a show of support against bullying. We also donated to the CKNW Kids’ Fund, which funds anti-bullying education and youth mental health programs across BC. If you’d like to support their work, you can donate at cknwkidsfund.com/donate.’

We also donated to the Vancouver Youth Choir as they prepare to represent Canada at the Cork International Choral Festival in Ireland, and sponsored new team jackets for the Surrey United SC U11 Girls (Team Calcio). Supporting young talent in our community matters to us, and both of these groups are doing something worth cheering for.

Supporting Our Neighbours

We were the Lead Sponsor of the Coldest Night of the Year walk in Whalley, raising funds in support of Surrey Urban Mission Society and the people in our community experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness.

We also recognized Black History Month with donations to the BC Black History Awareness Society and the Hogan’s Alley Society, two organizations doing meaningful work to preserve Black history and build community in BC.

Giving back has always been part of how we operate. The organizations and groups we supported this quarter are doing work that strengthens the communities we live and work in, and we’re glad to play a small role in that. We’re looking forward to continuing this into Q2 and beyond.
