Making a Difference Together This Holiday Season

November 29, 2024

The holiday season is a time for giving, and Van Kam is proud to support organizations making a real difference in our communities. From ensuring families have food on their tables to spreading holiday cheer through thoughtful hampers, we’re working alongside incredible partners to help those who need it most.

Feeding Hope with Local Food Banks

We are honoured to partner with organizations like Burnaby Neighbourhood House and Surrey Food Bank with vital programs that provide food and essentials to thousands in our communities. Last year alone, Burnaby Neighbourhood House used donations to support over 1,100 households weekly, purchasing perishable food for 17 weeks. Similarly, Surrey Food Bank’s Seniors Program ensures that individuals over 65 receive the necessary nutrition and personal care items. From tins of soup to essential toiletries, every donation helps make a difference.

Care & Comfort in Castlegar

We’re proud to support the Castlegar Hospice Society and their incredible work for families during difficult times. Through donations, they provide emotional and mental support to clients in need, helping them navigate challenging times with care and dignity. Their dedication inspires us to continue finding ways to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Cloverdale Christmas Hamper Program

For over 33 years, the Cloverdale Christmas Hamper Program has spread cheer to Surrey and Langley families. This year, the program aims to deliver 1,200 hampers filled with fresh and non-perishable food, gift cards, and thoughtful gifts for children and seniors. Supporting initiatives like this reflects the heart of the holiday season: helping those in need. We’re proud to be part of such meaningful work that brings joy to over 2,500 individuals during the holidays.

A Season of Gratitude

We’re deeply thankful to our community and team for supporting these efforts. Together, we’re helping to make this season a little brighter for families, seniors, and children across British Columbia. Let’s continue spreading kindness this holiday season. Every little bit counts!
