September was dedicated to celebrating the incredible people who make Van Kam what it is today. We held Employee Appreciation Events across our terminals in British Columbia to express our gratitude for the hard work and dedication our team brings every day. From BBQs to other gatherings, these events provided an opportunity to step away from the daily grind, connect with coworkers, and recognize the collective effort that keeps our company moving forward.
We kicked off our Employee Appreciation Events at the Surrey terminal on September 10th, followed by events at Victoria, Nanaimo, Prince George, Kelowna, Castlegar, Kamloops, and Campbell River. Each event captured the unique spirit of its terminal, with everything from BBQs to food trucks and other fun activities. These gatherings were about coming together as a team and taking a moment to celebrate the consistent dedication and effort our people bring every day.
September 25 was an exciting day for Van Kam, with Kelowna and Castlegar hosting appreciation events. Both terminals saw strong turnouts as employees gathered to recognize the contributions that make Van Kam what it is today, showing once again how strong our sense of community is across the terminals. There was great food, lots of laughs, and a chance to unwind and spend time with coworkers outside the usual work routine.
We wrapped up the month on September 27 with events in Kamloops and Campbell River, rounding out an entire month of celebration. It was a fitting end to a month dedicated to recognizing the hard work and commitment that keeps Van Kam running smoothly.
Our success relies on our people’s dedication and hard work, and these Employee Appreciation Events were a small gesture to show how much we value every individual on the team. While the events may have ended, our appreciation continues year-round. We are grateful for the effort and commitment that makes us strong. Here’s to the continued success we achieve together!
