It’s no surprise that Van Kam’s fantastic employees serve as the backbone of our commitment to exceptional customer service, and they’re the main contributors to our company’s success. From our professional drivers who’ve been safely delivering vital freight needed by many businesses & communities during the pandemic and the recent BC floods, to our warehouse and office employees who provide the daily support required for our drivers to deliver our customers’ freight. It’s all part of a well-oiled machine that was celebrated at Van Kam Freightways’ recent Employee Appreciation Day!
This annual event is usually celebrated in larger groups where members of each department mingle together, but with COVID restrictions in place, all employees were given individually wrapped food items and beverages this year. Staff members received everything from pizza, gourmet sandwiches, fresh baked cookies, and various tasty side items. All food was made fresh to order and delivered on-site for everyone’s safety and enjoyment. Edge Catering of Vancouver supplied the excellent eats for the Van Kam office staff in Surrey.
Employee Appreciation Day at the Van Kam Head Office in Surrey was expertly planned by the organizing wizards in Van Kam’s HR Department: Linda Bvekerwa (HR Admin), Alana Henry (Human Resources Manager), and Melanie Evans (Director of Human Resources). Thanks to all other hardworking event organizers at the various Van Kam Freight Service Centers throughout BC… there were many happy, hungry, and grateful faces as you swiftly delivered the food!
