1. This contest is administered by Van-Kam Freightways Ltd.
2. This contest is open to all those persons over the age of nineteen (19) years residing in Canada except (a) employees of Van-Kam Freightways Ltd., Mustang Freightways Ltd., Wings Motor Cartage Ltd., Gulf Islands Cartage Co. Ltd., their agents, or their immediate family members or any persons with whom they are domiciled.
3. CONTEST PERIOD: The Contest runs from April 4, 2012 at 7:00 a.m. to May 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time (the "Contest Period"). Entries will not be accepted after the end of the Contest Period.
4. HOW TO ENTER: To be eligible to win a Prize, Contest participants must complete the Customer Service Survey and return it by the end of the contest period or submit it online by the end of the contest period. All surveys become the property of Van-Kam Freightways Ltd., for any and all purposes, and will not be returned.
5. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Contest participants are limited to one (1) entry per person per day with a maximum of 5 entries per calendar week. Once you have entered a Customer Service Survey, then every day after this that you ship, you will automatically receive another entry in the contest up to a maximum of five entries per week per person or per Company. Van-Kam Freightways Ltd. assumes no responsibility for the inability of any Contest participant to complete or to otherwise submit an entry online. Van-Kam Freightways Ltd. is not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, mutilated, garbled, illegible or incomplete entries. Proof of transmission of an entry will not constitute proof of delivery.
6. CONTEST DRAW: One (1) winning entry will be randomly selected by Van-Kam Freightways Ltd. at approximately 11:00 A.M. on May 22, 2012 for the prize package. The odds of your entry being drawn depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period. Subject to compliance with these Rules, the individual entrant named on a winning Entry (the "Winner") will be awarded only one Prize per person or Company.
7. "Prize", or "prize package" refers to two (2) tickets to a Stanley Cup Finals Game including airfare and accommodations. The trip is to be determined upon events that lead up to the finals.
8. Prizes must be accepted as awarded, cannot be substituted, transferred, exchanged or surrendered for cash, except at the sole and absolute discretion of Van-Kam Freightways Ltd., which reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion and for any reason, to award a substitute prize of equal or greater value, including without limitation a cash award.
9. The Winner will be responsible for all other costs associated with the awarding or use of a Prize, including but not limited to optional equipment purchases, registration, insurance, sales tax, goods and services tax, all other applicable taxes and all other costs not specifically described above as being included in the prize.
10. HOW TO WIN AND CLAIM A PRIZE. Winners will be notified by telephone or electronic mail and must, at the time of notification, correctly answer a time limited, mathematical skill testing question, administered by an authorized Van-Kam Freightways Ltd. representative. In order to receive the Prize, a Winner must sign a release and declaration form satisfactory to the Van-Kam Freightways Ltd., acknowledging that they have read, understood and accepted these Rules and releasing Van-Kam Freightways Ltd. and any other person or entity associated in any way with the Contest, as well as their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, shareholders, employees, agents, advertising and promotional agencies from any and all liability arising in connection with the Contest, including, without limitation, liability arising from the acceptance or use of a Prize as awarded. Winners bear all risk of loss or damages to prizes after delivery. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded.
11. In the event that a Winner cannot be located, fails to correctly answer the time limited, mathematical skill testing question, fails to comply with these Rules or otherwise has not collected the Prize within fourteen (14) days following the end of the Contest Period, Van-Kam Freightways Ltd. may in its discretion disqualify that Winner and select, by random drawing, another eligible entrant to be awarded the Prize. Van-Kam Freightways Ltd. will not be responsible for any failed attempt to notify a Winner of the outcome of this Contest.
12. In the event that an entrant is at any time determined by Van-Kam Freightways Ltd. to be ineligible to receive a Prize, that entrant's entry will be destroyed, and another entry will be drawn from the remaining eligible entries received by Van-Kam Freightways Ltd. during the Contest Period.
13. The decisions of Van-Kam Freightways Ltd. and its authorized representatives are final as they relate to all aspects of the Contest, these Rules and the awarding of a Prize.
14. The Contest and these Rules will be governed by and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia. Contest entrants acknowledge and agree that any action arising out of or relating to the Contest or these Rules will be commenced and conducted exclusively in a superior court within the Judicial District of Victoria, in the Province of British Columbia; by submitting a ballot, Contest entrants consent and submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts.
