VAN KAM provides scheduled service for regular, LTL, TL and special commodity contracts within British Columbia and Alberta as well as regular service to Eastern Canada and the continental United States. We work in consultation with you to prepare customized distribution programs. Our staff understand the complexities of the transportation business and can respond to your needs quickly and professionally.

The company has never stopped searching for ways to improve the quality of service and has implemented several internal projects aimed at improving our efficiency. Continual upgrading of technology is part of our commitment to keeping costs low and providing more value added services to our customer.

In our effort to make information more readily available to customers, when they want it, we have a document imaging system and a secure web based probill tracking system that is available 24 hours a day. Our on-line probill tracking system allows customers to view and print these documents along with all other relevant information relating to a specific shipment. EDI is also an integral part of doing business in the 21st century, VAN KAM offers and provides all standard EDI transaction sets for bill of lading, invoicing and delivery status.

VAN KAM Freightways has always made significant investment in its trucks and trailers. We will therefore continue investing in our rolling stock. Taking advantage of new technology includes adding and updating trucks and trailers, which offer better efficiency, durability and therefore cost savings. With investments in technology and rolling stock, VAN KAM will continue to pass the savings on to you.

But our business is freight. By adding more service points and service partners, VAN KAM will continue to look for ways to maintain consistent delivery of freight to more and more points. Expanding our Pacific Northwest and Alberta service points coverage, VAN KAM will carefully and deliberately manage the growth of its services.
